Student Organizations

Student communities and events connecting social science, computing, ethics, and public policy, including Bilkent’s computational social science summits and resources from the University of Chicago.

Social Sciences Society Social Sciences Society is an academic community that promotes scientific values and innovation in social sciences. SSS is based in Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. We aim to pioneer the interdisciplinary study environment in Bilkent. In addition to that we aspire to promote the future of social sciences in quantitative methods, political economy, political psychology, sociology of economy, blockchain, energy studies and so on. We also work to create an atmosphere of interactive learning and sharing through real-life applied trainings, workshops and projects. We will enable our community to meet with experts with groundbreaking ideas. SSS has seven branches: 1-Economics&Finance 2-International Relations and Politics 3-Law 4-Psychology&Sociology 5-Private Sector Our branches are free to organize their own events, but it is our principle that each branch is responsible to study and present a topic in our society.Data, Ethics, and Policy: A Community-Centered Approach | DSI Join us for a day of in-depth discussions on the intersection of policy, ethics, and data science in empowering communities.
